Meet The Founders | Paul Collins

I am an ICAEW qualified chartered accountant, I trained with a UK Top Five accountancy firm BDO, training and working through their Corporate Finance team for five years.

Since qualification I have held senior finance roles in several large to small SMEs accumulating 30 years’ worth of experience across a broad range of sectors.

I have worked with businesses at various stages in their development, from start up through growth, both organic and through acquisition, consolidation and exit.

I have been successful in turnaround/corporate recovery situations.

For the past ten years I have been more entrepreneurial, running my own accountancy sole practitioner business and starting up and running a few other ventures, including building a beautiful floating home in a factory leased on the south coast!!

So, I believe I am ideally placed to support your SME through whatever phase of development you might be at, onto the next phase and beyond.

This is something I am good at; I really enjoy it and it is a passion. There is no reason why budget constraints should necessarily stand in the way of smaller SMEs benefiting from the support of experienced, commercial and well-trained Finance professionals.

My aim is to enable business owners to spend more time on developing and growing their business rather than managing it on a day to day basis.


Meet The Founders | Lesley Collins

After an early career in corporate banking, mainly as a Corporate Foreign Exchange dealer I have returned to what I started doing originally with varied roles as Personal/Executive Assistant, Office Manager and Administrator. 

Since then, I have worked in a wide range of industry sectors including a well-known local examination board, a private equity company (the largest at that time in Europe), an international legal management consultancy and an accountancy software standards body.  Although these sectors were new to me at the time, I got up to speed in understanding each sector very quickly enabling me to add value to each role very soon as starting.

I am experienced in delivering the whole range of day-to-day office duties including extensive and complex diary management, travel arrangements, managing the financial side including producing invoices, purchase orders, preparing budget/forecasts, processing expenses and also taking care of the practical side of office management including sourcing and dealing with suppliers, procurement and compiling Health & Safety, employee and other policies and manuals.

Throughout my career I have worked with include CEOs and other senior Directors/Managers and am therefore accustomed to dealing with confidential matters and providing high level support to and dealing with individuals at all levels. 

I pride myself on managing my workload proactively and using my initiative, am used to working to tight deadlines and ensuring attention to detail.  The work I do now is something I very much enjoy and am sure I can help your office run more efficiently by releasing you from simple tasks that don’t require your attention to more complex projects, leaving you more time to concentrate on developing your business and increasing profits.
